Your Finances And God’s Provision

“I sought the Lord, and He answered me; delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalm 34:4)

God’s Guarantee To You:

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

Conditions For God To Meet All Your Financial Needs:

  • You need to ask Him for help.

“You desire and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. You do not have because you do not ask.(James 4:2 emphasis added)

“Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

“Until now you have asked for nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.” (John 16:24)

  • You need to learn to be content with what you have.

6 But godliness with contentment is a great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out.” (1 Timothy 6:6-7)

“I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need.” (Philippians 4:12)

  • You need to practice giving in faith.

6 Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)

9 Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first produce of your entire harvest; 10 then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine.”  (Proverbs 3:9-10)

  • You need to maintain your integrity.

“Honest balances and scales are the Lord’s; all the weights in the bag are His concern.” (Proverbs 16:11)

“Better a poor man who lives with integrity than someone who has deceitful lips and is a fool.”  (Proverbs 19:1)

  • You need to trust God with ALL your life.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.” (Matthew 6:33)

“Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy.” (1 Timothy 6:17)
