Out Of Darkness

For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life, (Proverbs 6:23)

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalms 119:105)

For you are my lamp, O LORD, and my God lightens my darkness. (2 Samuel 22:29)

Without the Bible, I could not:
• Know who He is.
• Receive His teaching.
• Grow in my Christian maturity.

If you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:4-5)

Without reading the Bible:
• The Bible is just another book.
• We have no true source for answers.
• We have nothing to keep us from sin.

Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered. (Proverbs 28:26)

Without the application of His word, I would:
• keep repeating the same mistakes.
• keep living with the consequences of bad decisions.
• keep pushing Him away.

He (my father) taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her (wisdom), and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. (Proverbs 4:4-6)

…”I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12b)
