• Salvation’s future reward.

“³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, ⁵ who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:3-5)

• La recompensa futura de la salvación.

“³ Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, quien según Su gran misericordia, nos ha hecho nacer de nuevo a una esperanza viva, mediante la resurrección de Jesucristo de entre los muertos, ⁴ para obtener una herencia incorruptible, inmaculada, y que no se marchitará, reservada en los cielos para ustedes. ⁵ Mediante la fe ustedes son protegidos por el poder de Dios, para la salvación que está preparada para ser revelada en el último tiempo.”

• Salvation’s present adversity. 

“⁶ In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, ⁷ so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. ⁸ Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, ⁹ obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:6-9)

“⁶ En lo cual ustedes se regocijan grandemente, aunque ahora, por un poco de tiempo si es necesario, sean afligidos con diversas pruebas, ⁷ para que la prueba de la fe de ustedes, más preciosa que el oro que perece, aunque probado por fuego, sea hallada que resulta en alabanza, gloria y honor en la revelación de Jesucristo; ⁸ a quien sin haber visto, ustedes lo aman, y a quien ahora no ven, pero creen en Él, y se regocijan grandemente con gozo inefable y lleno de gloria, ⁹ obteniendo, como resultado de su fe, la salvación de sus almas.”

• Salvation’s past glories.

“¹⁰ Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, ¹¹ inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. ¹² It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.”  (1 Peter 1:10-12)

• Las glorias pasadas de la salvación.

¹⁰ Acerca de esta salvación, los profetas que profetizaron de la gracia que vendría a ustedes, diligentemente inquirieron y averiguaron, ¹¹ procurando saber qué persona o tiempo indicaba el Espíritu de Cristo dentro de ellos, al predecir los sufrimientos de Cristo y las glorias que seguirían. ¹² A ellos les fue revelado que no se servían a sí mismos, sino a ustedes, en estas cosas que ahora les han sido anunciadas mediante los que les predicaron el evangelio por el Espíritu Santo enviado del cielo; cosas a las cuales los ángeles anhelan mirar.”
