Blessed is the One Who Fears The Lord

Blessed Is The One
“Blessed is the one who fears the Lord always, but whoever hardens his heart will fall into calamity.” (Proverbs 28:14 ESV)

Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, (Hebrews 12:28 ESV)

If you address as Father, the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in [reverent] fear [of Him] and with profound respect for Him throughout the time of your stay on earth. (1 Peter 1:17 AMP)

When you think about it seems like we may fear people more than we fear God. But Matthew tells us who we “Need” to fear.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28 NKJV)

Luke 7:11-16 HCSB

Then He came up and touched the open coffin, and the pallbearers stopped. And He said, “Young man, I tell you, get up!” The dead man sat up and began to speak, (Luke 7:14-15 HCSB)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7 NIV)

For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment. (2 Timothy 1:7 CSB)

God’s Spirit doesn’t make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 CEV)

Genesis 1:3
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing. (Job 26:7 NKJV)

God is to be greatly feared in the assembly in the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those that surround Him.” (Psalm 89:7 NKJV)

“Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid, for God has come to test you, so that you may always fear him, so that you do not sin.” (Exodus 20:20, EHV)

What does Adam do as soon as he sins?
He hides from the presence of the Lord.
The person who fears God has nothing to hide. That person is terrified of being away from God.

What He hates is the sin that’s on them, and that’s the difference.
The person that doesn’t fear God tolerates sin. The person that fears God has a holy hatred of sin and a passionate love for all people.
