• We all need encouragement.

“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love,
a tender heart, and a humble mind.” (v. 8)
“En fin, vivan en armonía los unos con los otros; compartan penas y alegrías, practiquen el amor fraternal, sean compasivos y humildes.” (v. 8)

• We are all called to be a blessing.
• Todos estamos llamados a ser una bendición.

“Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary,
bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.” (v. 9)
“No devuelvan mal por mal ni insulto por insulto; más bien, bendigan, porque para esto fueron llamados, para heredar una bendición.” (v. 9)

□ You are to bless God. (1 Peter 1:3)
□ Debes bendecir a Dios (1 Pedro 1:3)
□ You are to bless those who persecute you.

□ You are to bless your church.

Bless means to honor, to give thanks for, to be grateful for.
Bendecir significa honrar, dar gracias por, ser agradecido por.

□ You are to bless your wife. “… showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel …” (1 Peter 3:7)
□ Debes bendecir a tu esposa. “…Vosotros maridos, semejantemente, habitad con ellas según ciencia, dando honor á la mujer como á vaso más frágil..” (1 Pedro 3:7)
□ You are to bless your children. The patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob all gave formal blessings to their children—and, in Jacob’s case, to some grandchildren.
□ Debes bendecir a tus hijos. Los patriarcas Abraham, Isaac y Jacob dieron bendiciones formales a sus hijos y, en el caso de Jacob, a algunos nietos.
□ You are to bless your parents. “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.” (Genesis 20:12)

• We are all called to live a godly life.
• Todos estamos llamados a vivir vidas piadosas.

“10 For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep
his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; 11 let him turn away from evil and do good, let him seek peace and pursue it.” (vv. 10 & 11)
“10 En efecto, «el que quiera amar la vida y gozar de días felices, que refrene su lengua de hablar el mal y sus labios de proferir engaños; 11 que se aparte del mal y haga el bien; que busque la paz y la siga.” (vv. 10-11)

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Peter 1:3)

“But in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” (1 Peter 3:15)

“Más bien, honren en su corazón a Cristo como Señor. Estén siempre preparados para responder a todo el que pida razón de la esperanza que hay en ustedes.” (1 Pedro 3:15)
