Your Future and God’s Faithfulness

“I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalm 34:4) [BSB]

Three Facts About Your Future:

  1.  God knows everything about your future.

“No creature is hidden from Him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.” ( Hebrews 4:13)

Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in Your book and planned before a single one of them began.” (Psalm 139:16)

  1. God has a plan for your future

For I know the plans I have for you” –- this is the Lord’s declaration – “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

  1. God will always be with you!

“Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)

“… if  we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13)

God-given Guarantees About Your Future:

  • You can depend on God to guide you when you’re confused.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

  • You can depend on God to help you when you’re tempted.

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

  • You can depend on God to support you when you’re overwhelmed.

I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn you. For I Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Savior, give Egypt as a ransom for you, Cush and Seba in your place.” (Isaiah 43:2-3)

  • You can depend on God to defend you when you’ve been hurt.

“Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for His wrath. For it is written: Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay, says the Lord.” (Romans 12:19)

  • You can depend on God to reward you when you’re faithful to Him.

“A man who endures trials is blessed, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12)

I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
