Jim Carlile moved to Las Cruces and began attending SVCC in 2014. He was an Army brat, and has lived in many states as well as Germany. Jim began going to church in 1970, and accepted Jesus’ salvation in Aug of 1972. After graduating from Tombstone High School in AZ, in 1974, Jim went to Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, CA. graduating in 1977. Jim became a teacher, and taught music, math and Bible in California and Arizona before retiring in 2009. Currently, he works for a large insurance company as a claims specialist.

Jim has 4 children and 5 grandkids.
Jim joined the worship team in 2015 as a musician and singer. He became a deacon for several years, and now serves as an Elder and member of the worship team.
