Gary retired from New Mexico State University in 1999 after 28 years of service. Like all retirees he thought that he would have more time to pursue the things he enjoys. He has been working harder ever since!

Gary and Judy were married on February 14th, 1986…   Yes, it was on Valentine’s Day.

Gary serves with the Sight and Sound team at SVCC and also helps with the video announcements as a mic boom operator. Gary and his brother Bill are known as The Johnson Brothers and Country Praise. They have been ministering at the Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission for over 23 years. Gary also plays music with C. M. Adams & The Revelators. They minister at Celebrate Recovery, Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission, and the Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility. He is one of the many Life Group leaders at SVCC. Gary has also served as a Deacon.
