“ 1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! 3 Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! 5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Psalm 100:1-5

The Results Of Forgetting That the Lord Is Good:
- I start claiming credit for things God did for me.
“For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?” (1 Corinthians 4:7 )
- I stop asking God for help.
“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16 )
- I stop trusting
“ 1 Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. 2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” (Psalm 16:1-2 )
- I become pessimistic about the future.
“ 13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:13-14 ) [NASB]
The Rewards For Remembering That The Lord Is Good:
(Psalm 23 )
- He will meet my needs. (Psalm 23 :1)
- He will calm me when I’m stressed. (Psalm 23 :2)
- He will restore me when I’m empty. (Psalm 23 :3)
- He will guide me when I’m confused. (Psalm 23 :3b)
- He will walk with me when I’m scared. (Psalm 23 :4)
- He will comfort me when I feel insecure. (Psalm 23 :4b)
- He will publicly show me His favor. (Psalm 23 :5)
- He will be good to me no matter what happens. (Psalm 23 :6a)
- He will take me to heaven one day. (Psalm 23 :6b)
“ 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly 11 “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” (John 10:10-11 )
