After coming to Christ at the age of 25, it wasn’t long before God called me to serve Him in ministry. Beginning at a small Baptist Church in Killeen, TX, my wife and I, along with another couple, began a children’s church for the 7 children at our church. After 2 years, the Lord grew the ministry to 40 children. We moved to Lampasas, TX, and began attending FBC Copperas Cove, where I was ordained as a deacon. I served in men’s ministry and youth ministry, while my wife served in children’s ministry. After our 4 years at FBC CC, we packed up and moved to FT Worth to attend SWBTS. We have served the Lord faithfully ever since. In 2019, the Lord lead us back to our hometown of El Paso, after 34 years away serving in the Army, as a civilian for the Department of Defense, and of course in ministry. I am the Executive Director for the El Paso Baptist Association. In the more than 5 years I have served here God has done some incredible things. We have planted/replanted churches, revitalized churches, changed the bylaws, 2 times, had a food ministry during COVID, where gave over 8 million dollars in food away, we have 6 non-denominational churches who have joined our association. We have moved locations, where we are now a ministry hub with several ministries sharing space with us. We have churches outside our area and state, who are members of our association as well. God is doing great things!
