- The Meaning of Hope.
Greek word lexical origin for ‘hope’ is elpizo = “...to look forward to something with implication of confidence about something coming to pass; to hope; to hope for but with a sense of confidence; favorable and confident expectation; happy anticipation of good — and it has to do with the unseen and the future.”
- The Source of Hope.
Romans 15:13 : May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope
1 Peter 1:3 : Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead...

Psalm 130:5 : The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue.

Four Things Hope Does In Your Life:
- It will develop your patience.
Psalm 130:5 : I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.
- It impacts the rate of your spiritual growth.
1 John 3:3 : And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
- It will enhance your ability to share Christ.
1 Peter 3:15 : ...but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defence to everyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect…
- It will motivate your service for Christ.
